Used Pair of Jamboree bass horns

Now with FREE SHIPPING!  In the Continental USA.

To see the photo-essay of the construction of these horns, and the rest of the finish photos, please go HERE

These are very well built, loaded and tuned with Klipsch K33 woofers (two per cabinet), powerful sounding, and they look pretty nice too.

The backs and insides are painted with satin black, the front birch veneer is finished with satin lacquer.  The cosmetic condition is good, but not perfect.  There are several issues, including scuffs on the black paint, a dent in the veneered front, and a couple of places where the front panel does not line up with the hardwood trim strips above it.  But even with these flaws, they really do look quite nice.

There are a lot more photographs on the Jamboree webpage link above.   Scroll down near the bottom of the page for the most recent.

$3,500 for the pair, which includes grill frames for the bass horn mouths (without cloth), professional crating and Fedex Frieght Shipping within the Continental USA.  If you would like cloth put on the frames, please add $400.  Discount if you come pick them up at my shop.

Update, 4/7/2011.   I don't understand why these haven't sold yet!   I suppose it's because they are not a complete system, and that it might be difficult to see how they can become a complete system that is worthy of the price. If you purchased the Klipsch K402 midrange horns and K69 drivers, used the same processing system that Klipsch recommends for the Jubilee system, and combined them with these Jamboree speakers, I can assure you that you'd have a better sounding system than using the Klipsch bass units.  I know, because I own Klipsch Jubilees, and I've listened to both in my living room.  The Jamborees win out every time.

What about using the Jamborees with the Lavera Horns?  That is a great combination, and one that has been done already by one of my customers.  He uses an active crossover and separate amplifiers for the drivers.

Again, comparing to the Klipsch Jubilees, I think the Jamborees with the Lavera Horns would be much better sounding overall, and of course much better looking too.   I do prefer a three-way system over the two-way, because I like to have more control over balancing the tweeter into the system.  I tend to like a hotter tweeter than most.

Here's a picture of my customers speakers, using the Lavera Horns and his own home-made Jamboree bass cabinets.

He is very, very happy with the sound quality of this system.  Here's one of his quotes:

"I just listened to the Kunzel Telarc (1812 Overture with real canon blasts) and even with the Jamborees still on the dollies, you can feel the canon shots go right through your gut.   I liked the Bob Crites CW1526C 15" woofers on my Khorn clones.   Putting a pair of them in each Jamboree was one of my goals.   The RTA showed that the CD was putting out uniform power from 20Hz to beyond 400Hz with each canon shot.   The Jamborees probably are getting into the mid 30Hz region.   Keep in mind that the horn mouth is not much larger than in the Klipschorn."

So if you're at all interested in the Jamboree bass bins, but you're not sure about how to incorporate them into a system, please contact me and let's work this out.  I really need to move these Jamborees out of my shop, and I know they will make a spectacular sounding system for someone.
